High Speed Machining Centres HSM

Experience shows that the advantages of high-speed milling can only be realized at cut speeds of more than 40'000 min-1, high feedrates and the best accelerations available – especially in the case of small milling cutter diameters for tool and mould manufacture. These basic requirements call for all the machine components to be fully adapted to HSC technology.

 

That is why the basic structural design, the high speed spindles, the control system, the feed drives, the axis mechanism and the automation of Mikron's HSM range all have been designed with high speed machining in mind.
