Annual result 2004: Agie Charmilles on Track
In 2004 the Agie Charmilles Group achieved an operating profit (EBIT) of CHF 33.5 million and free cash flow of CHF 57.3 million on sales of CHF 978.1 million. This increase in profitability is attributable to better market conditions and a sustained improvement in our cost structure. Unfavorable exchange rates had a negative impact on the result. Net profit amounted to CHF 16.6 million. At the Annual Shareholders' Meeting, shareholders will be asked to approve the distribution of a dividend.

New Organization Chart of Agie Charmilles Group
The Agie Charmilles Group streamlined its management structure as of today. Research & development and production of the electric discharge machining (EDM) operations are brought together under a single management. Marketing is centralized and the structure of the sales organization simplified.
