Sustainability – Responsible Use of Natural Resources
GF AgieCharmilles is committed to environmental, social, and financial sustainability.
By way of example, the constant advancement of manufacturing technologies in the EDM and HSM businesses is improving the ecological balance sheet by reducing the consumption of natural resources. But machinery production and logistics are also geared to environment-related parameters.
The Group’s industrial and social commitment is geared to the long-term interest. Under the auspices of the Georg Fischer Group, GF AgieCharmilles adheres to the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in reporting on matters of social sustainability. Through its Sustainability Information System Georg Fischer collects regular data on a defined catalog of criteria and documents the improvements that have been made.
All GF AgieCharmilles production sites have been certified to with the ISO 9001 quality assurance standard and ISO 14001 environmental management norm. The certificates were renewed in 2005 following repeat audits by SQS at the Nidau and Losone plants.
